Swedish IOD fleet wins the North Sea Cup

Ulf Hjalmarson and his crew from the Swedish IOD Fleet has won the North Sea Cup which was held in St Mawes, United Kingdom, over the weekend of 4-5 September.
The North Sea Cup is biennial regatta between the IOD Fleets of Sweden, Norway and the United Kingdom. Sailing in challenging conditions – light winds and sloppy seas – Ulf and his crew of Linus Persson, Anders Uddén and Ronny Friberg were the clear winners, winning four of the six races sailed over the weekend.
The second and third positions were closely fought; both Norway (Ivar Aardal) and the UK (Nick Gore) accumulated 11 points during the regatta, but on count-back Ivar and his crew were awarded second place by virtue of their two wins.
